Business storytelling: Helping learners to create memorable stories

A workshop with Dana Poklepovic

Storytelling is an age-old art and one of the few traits shared across all human cultures. It has become a powerful communication tool used by business leaders to motivate teams and engage different audiences. In addition, stories enable leaders to connect both at an intellectual and emotional level making the message memorable.

Since business stories are told to attain different goals, leaders need to follow a clear communication strategy to build their narratives. In this interactive workshop we’ll discuss the key elements of storytelling and explore a technique to help learners build compelling stories to achieve organizational goals through rational and emotional language.

Dana Poklepovic is a communication skills and Business English trainer. She has taught Business English for over 20 years in Argentina and Santiago de Chile and translated for the United Nations Development Program in New York.
